Gay Pride – Marriage of Warren and Corne

Corne and Warren got married, Warren is my mom’s best friend’s son and mom asked me and Lionel to organize a photo shoot with them so they can have memories of their celebration of their love. Lionel got hold of our good friend Tony, our friendly neighborhood fireman and fellow crazy and insane photographer friend to organize us a location for the wedding shoot, he managed to organize us Birchwoods Hotel, which turned out to be the perfect venue, with many gorgeous backdrops for this shoot.

365 Project Archive / February

DAY 1 - 07/02/2010

Today I scrambled to take a photograph for a monthly camera club set subject, the topic is Economy and when I mentioned that I would probably just do a stock photography kind of shot involving coins the look I got from Cinz was quite frightening.  So with Cinz creative input we came up with this photo.

She was quite brave and willing to go to a local shopping centre and pose next to this dustbin for me dispite the audience.

I used my Nikon SB-26 Flash with a shoot through umbrella set at quarter power at about 30 degrees to camera right and triggered it with a radio transmitter / reciever set up.  Camera Settings were ISO 200; 1/250 sec Shutter Speed and F5.6 Apperture Setting.

My Tattoo

For ages I have been itching to get a new tattoo, all I know is that I wanted my kid’s initials and it must be colorful representing the light and color my children have brought into my life, but wasn’t sure who to go to or who to trust with something so permanent.

Not so long ago I did the shoot “The Death of a Ballerina” with the most beautiful creature ever, Miss Gisella Rose and I was in total adoration of her tattoos. It turned out her brother Ryan Bolton was the artistic genius behind her colorful body. So it started, I eventually got in contact with Ryan and told him just what my kids initials are and I wanted it colorful and we made a date to go get it done.

My Children

So all this blogging about photography and projects we have worked on, I decided to write about something different. These two little people are my pride and joy, and are really good little angels. As a mommy I couldn’t be more blessed to have these special people as my own.

Joshua is my eldest, his 4 years old turning 5 this year, it is incredible how time flies, he's a very chatty little boy and loves to play with friends, watching cartoons and showing us his latest karate moves. Since he was a toddler he always seems to have a protective streak over me, and now his brother too and I always call him my super hero.
